Technology industry veterans bring expertise guiding companies through rapid growth
PALO ALTO, Calif., July 14, 2015 — Medallia (www.medallia.com), a leading provider of Customer Experience Management software, today announced the appointment of two seasoned board members: LinkedIn and Palo Alto Networks board member and audit chair Stan Meresman, and former Netflix CMO Leslie Kilgore.
As a board member and audit chair for LinkedIn, Meresman helped guide the company through a period of rapid growth and its 2011 IPO. Previously, Meresman served on the boards of Riverbed Technology, Polycom, Meru, Zynga and Force10 Networks. From 1989 to 1997, Meresman was senior vice president and CFO at Silicon Graphics, helping the company grow from $200 million to over $3.7 billion in revenue.
Kilgore was CMO of Netflix from 2000 to 2012, leading the company from less than 100,000 members to over 24 million. She provided strategic guidance that helped the company establish its strong market presence, build a reputation for innovation and earn customer loyalty. Prior to Netflix, Kilgore held marketing management roles at Amazon and Procter & Gamble. She currently serves on the LinkedIn and Netflix boards of directors.
“We’re very pleased to welcome Leslie and Stan to our board,” said Borge Hald, Medallia’s co-founder and CEO. “Leslie is an esteemed, innovative marketer with experience helping companies identify and rapidly expand into new markets. Stan is a seasoned financial leader with a strong track record in guiding companies through rapid growth. We look forward to working closely with both of them.”
“Medallia has long been the leader in the category it helped create, and its vision and creativity has allowed it to provide significant value for a wide variety of companies,” said Kilgore. “I am eager to lend my perspective to help Medallia continue on its path of customer focus, innovation, and rapid growth.”
“Medallia’s technology, combined with its success helping leading companies deliver on their customer experience goals, has helped to fuel its rapid growth,” said Meresman. “I look forward to applying my expertise to further bolster that growth.”
Kilgore and Meresman join Medallia’s existing board of directors, which includes Sequoia Capital partner Douglas Leone; ServiceNow president and CEO Frank Slootman; former CEO and co-founder of Parametric Technology Corporation Steve Walske; Medallia CEO and co-founder Borge Hald; and Medallia president and co-founder Amy Pressman.
